Creating the Unexpected

Finally one month on from my father buying & collecting it for me the day after Boxing Day, (the day I learnt my 'care' agency were dropping me with 5 days illegal notice) I have Finally, had a chance to actually look at the dolls house kit from Oxfam. For my level of work (hark at me!) it's way too poor quality to use as a house (I considered creating a gothic/derelict house) but it's Bloody Good quality as spares & components, including slim strips of veneer often hard to come by :-)
For the new idea of the Treasure House (being a goblin with dragon treasure stash) I can use its roof tiles for that diorama. For the Grime Reaper & Zombie Graveyard diorama I've got the church door I need, the wood for the porch & components to create a porch roof plus the tiles too, the actual arch window frame which FITS well the stained glass acetate of the Dove of Peace which will overlook a scene of blood & gore (I love my sense of humour) & has the wood for the church body/back wall of the scene & also two gravestones! My father couldn't see how I could possibly get gravestones from a house kit but it's from window components, squat arches become traditional shape gravestones!! I love creating :-D So much fun & distraction in the plotting & planning of a miniature scene :-)

Opps

For ages this bugged me, I kept thinking what was wrong was that the centre numeral wasn't central. Eventually I gave up & moved to the next side, fixed up numbers ten, eleven, looked at the last number left..... Nine or eleven.. What the hell, where's twelve?
Yup my little brain that had been saying you're tired, stop decided to teach me a lesson :-D
Thing is, I've had these numerals Years for the finishing touches to The Clock Man & The Time Thief & when I Finally put them in place I do it wrong lol Thank Gods the glue isn't strong!

Living Room Bureau

Distracting myself before a difficult Social Services meeting tomorrow I decided to put together the Bureau in the living room of Beds, Knobs & Broomsticks.
The radio is an exact copy of a
PYE MM 1931 & is signed DW 1992 UK. The paintbox with a kingfisher on is in memory of Coz/Kevin & was also created by a miniaturist. The apple pot was carved by Brian Taylor of Grandads Miniatures. The Orkney chair with drawer is (unknown) artisan made & in the drawer traditionally was a bible... & a bottle of whisky :-D
Both cats are Falcon Miniatures & the bits in the cubby holes are made by me including the glasses & their case.

Working on The Mouse Hole

Strange mood, finding things a bit weird, suppose it's delayed response to the care agency's callousness. I've been doing some 48th scale furniture kits & trying to get really into working on miniatures.
Tonight for The Mouse Hole I have made up 2 tiny sofas, a double range (cooker), a crib, a medieval table & 4 tiny Tudor scissor type chairs around 1cm big. More kits yet to make up & then I have to paint them.....

* Mentioned in my main blog is that my Care Agency dropped me Illegally with 5 days notice on Boxing Day. But they didn't even inform Me with whom they had the contract but instead emailed my parents... Have got a new temporary agency in place for now but things are complex.
