Zombie Brains served on a Plate

Well the Zombie brains are now finished. Currently served up on a Plate. They started out as silver charms  then were painted up, the hook removed then the mould (green scatter) added then the bloody gore which is acrylic paint added to PVA glue which gives depth as a great effect.
These will be going into the Grime Reaper & Zombie Graveyard scene which is still being built :-)

Zombie brains all gory & dragons teeth painted

And so, tonight the Zombie brains are now all gory & mouldy, & I have also painted the dragons spines, claws & weirdly his teeth :-D
And then the Goblin Treasure House is Finished on its final exterior & interior walls painting. Had to throw out seed to make the chickens move away so they didn't accidently get spray painted with the stone paint! Roof next, chimney done now.
Love how mixing PVA glue with paint creates chunky paint for gore :-D

Zombie Brains...

Waiting for the Zombie brains to start drying... First coat of grey on, then a second whatever year this starts dry. One brain will be left like that to go into The Alcamist house, the other brain will have mould added & nice bloody gore to go in the Zombie Graveyard. I have yet to create a brain for the zombie who's lost the top of his head.....
(They're 3d charms so the hook will be cut off later, I like use them in the painting process).

Painting the Goblin House

Working on the house shaped lantern for the Goblin & Dragon Treasure House earlier I removed 4 glass panels, fixed all the masking tape in place, then sprayed the textured paint onto the floor, walls & chimney. Its looking quite good if I say so myself. The paint is marketed as resembling mineral stone but looks like earth which is what I was hoping for. I did the second coat then brought it back into the house, put it on the floor & promptly added cat fur to the bottom! Bugger! Will have to peel it off later now! Gotta turn it upside down tomorrow to get right up into the tall roof cos I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my miniatures & diaormas details :-D
Picture shows the before appearance :-)

The Oddities of a Miniaturists Evening

And so tonight, I found that the dragon is still tacky so I can't paint his second coat damnit. Which is good as I've run out of paint brushes! I use those childrens brush sets for 99p, but as my agency budget still isn't through I can't get out for my supported outings that have been temporarily dropped. Hence running out of various craft/miniature supplies in the meanwhile.
So instead I spent 2 hours cutting out tiny brass coins, the tiniest of which at 1.5 mm across nearly drove me crackers trying to get the flash? flashing? off. The biggest was 3.5mm & there was some 40 of these microscopic coins. Done. Finished. Thank Gods lol
The Goblin & Dragon Treasure House is moving on :-)

Goblin & Dragon Treasure

I've been working on a new miniature scene for a Goblin & Dragon Treasure House. Tonight I've painted a shield, helmet, swords, barrels, duck shaped oil lamp & amongst various other things a bird skull & the dragons had his first coat of paint :-) Trying to keep my mind & brain busy after the news on Friday of my friend Maries death :-(
I have also realised that I forgot post pics of the finished Clock Man & Time Thief diaorma. Oh well another day now :-/

Clock Man & The Time Thief is Finished!

Over the next few days I hope to post up some photos of the Clock Man & Time Thief diaorma which is Finally finished! Today's photo is simply of tiny fob watches I made from jewellery fastenings & I'm rather chuffed with how they turned out. The pencil gives a good idea of how tiny the scale is.
